How to Order a Background Check through Planning Center

In ‘People,’ you may order a Background Check from ‘Dashboards.’ 

- Select the ‘Background Checks’ tab, then ‘New background check.’

- Next, select from your list of users.

Alternatively, you may order directly from a user’s profile.

- Once authorized, you’ll see a list of Background Check levels available for your organization.
    - You may view the cost for each level.
    - Use the ‘Details’ dropdown to see exactly what is included in the search.
 

- Select the desired level and click ‘Next.’

- Answer the preliminary questions:

     - Is this individual a current or prospective volunteer, employee, or contractor/licensee?

     - Will this individual serve with children or a vulnerable population?

     - Is the individual over the age of 13?

     - Did the individual self-disclose any past history?

-  Click ‘Continue.’

- Review the confirmation page showing the level, cost and user.

- Click ‘Order Background Check.’

An email will be sent to the applicant with a link to complete the Background Check application.
