MinistrySafe recommends a female-only diapering policy because, in the CONVICTED OFFENDER POPULATION, approximately 90% of those who victimize children are male.
Given this statistic, we believe it is safer for both children and the men serving them to remove men from diapering responsibilities.
This policy DOES NOT MEAN that your Ministry suspects all males of sexual abuse; rather, that it is taking the most proactive and protective stance possible.
Fathers may be allowed to change the diaper of their own child.
