How to order background checks

We offer two methods to order background checks: Quickapp and Longform.

The Quickapp sends a secure email to the user allowing the user to enter his or her personal information and digitally sign the disclosure form. SSAs are notified when the background check has completed processing.

The Longform enables administrators to enter user information on the user’s behalf. This option is appropriate for users without an email address or those who are technologically challenged. Administrators can collect user information through a printed copy of the Disclosure Form available in the Document Library.

    To order a background check via Quickapp

  1. Click the Background Checks tab on the left-hand toolbar.
  2. Click Order in the submenu on the left-hand toolbar.
  3. Check the box to the left of the user(s) for whom you want to order a background check.
  4. Click Select Level and choose the background check level desired. Learn more about background check levels here.
  5. Click the blue Order Quickapp button.

Users have 14 days to complete the background check request before the link expires. A fee is incurred only when the user completes the background check request.

Note

The system sends background checks to users on one page at a time. If you have 3 pages of users, select users for whom you’d like to order background checks on the first page and click Order Quickapp. Follow this same process for subsequent pages. To increase the number of users shown on one page, toggle the number shown at the right-hand side of the page near the search bar.

  • To order a background check via Longform
  1. Print the Disclosure Form from the Document Library. Collect the information from the user in person. Store this document in the organization’s records.
  2. Click the Background Checks tab on the left-hand toolbar.
  3. Click Order in the submenu on the left-hand toolbar.
  4. Check the box to the left of the user for whom you want to order a background check.
  5. Click Select Level and choose the background check level desired. Learn more about background check levels here.
  6. Click Longform and enter the information from the Disclosure Form.
  7. Click submit.

Important

Ensure that the user is correctly identified as an employee or volunteer, as the disclosure form will correspond to the user type.

Once the confirmation message appears, you have successfully ordered your background check(s).
