How to add users

There are three ways to add users to the Control Panel. Users must be added before they can be assigned trainings or background checks.

If you have less than 40 users, add them individually. Click Manage Users on the left-hand toolbar, then the green add user button in the left-hand corner. Provide the information needed for each user and click add user.

Once add user is clicked, supervisors and Safety System Administrators will receive an email to set a password and log into the Control Panel.

If the added user is a trainee and a training video is selected, the user will receive a personalized email with a link to complete the training video and quiz. If a training video is not selected, the user will not receive an email or notification.

If you have more than 40 users, we recommend utilizing the batch import to upload a group of users at one time. To complete a batch import:

  1. Download and complete this excel spreadsheet import template.
  2. Email the completed import template to Support@MinistrySafe.com or Support@AbusePreventionSystems.com. Make sure to include your organization’s name, city, and state in your email.
  3. Our office will complete the import in 1-3 business days and notify you upon completion.

Once the form has been imported, users will only receive an email notification if they were assigned a training or background check.

Utilize the Direct Sign-Up Link to enable your organization’s staff members and volunteers to add themselves and assign their own training.

  1. Click the gear symbol at the top right-hand corner, then scroll down to Direct Sign-Up Link.
  2. Check to enable the link.
  3. Customize the page to fit your organization's needs.
  4. Copy the link by clicking and embedding it wherever your organization would like to post it (an email, website, flyer).

Warning: With this link, users have the ability to send themselves training, thus incurring a fee when training is completed. Consider sharing this link once an applicant has passed pre-determined screening elements so your organization is not incurring unnecessary training expense.

Tip: To avoid confusion, select a default training to ensure that the desired training is completed. Learn more about different types of training here.
